Geoffrey Wen
Secretary-General
Having started his MUN journey back in sixth grade and attended over fifteen conferences since, this year’s Secretary-General brings not just experience, but confidence and an infectious enthusiasm to the role. Known for his ability to lead with both poise and approachability, he believes that what truly makes THIMUN Singapore special is, without question, the people –delegates and chairs from every corner of the world coming together to debate and collaborate.
He also credits Singapore itself for making the conference what it is “a great place and, in my opinion, the best place to host an MUN.” From the warm hospitality and incredible food to the city’s cultural mix, it creates an atmosphere that perfectly matches the spirit of THIMUN.
This year, he’s most looking forward to meeting everyone, both familiar and new faces and experiencing the unique energy that THIMUN Singapore brings each year.
Favorite Hobbies: Playing basketball and collecting hoop shoes (around 30 pairs and counting!!)
Favorite Musical Artists: Don Toliver, 21 Savage, and Metro Boomin
Spirit Animal: A fox – always scheming and sharp.
Ridhima Deshmukh
President of the General Assembly
On a consistent basis, Ridhima has been a regular at MUN since eighth grade, although her first conference was actually in fourth. She’s had rewarding experiences at THIMUN Singapore, where she has attended three times. “It pushes you to think beyond what you already know, especially through the range of people you get to interact with.” According to Ridhima, these collective discussions have fostered her own mindset, particularly in the way that she “reasons, questions, and connects ideas” within a layered approach.
This conference in particular, she looks forward to seeing all the committees in action and seeing delegates bring their respective energies and perspectives to the set agenda. Furthermore, through close collaboration with the chairs, Ridhima is excited to see their ideas take shape in real debates and resolutions.
Favorite Hobby: “My favourite hobby of mine is collaging! I love curating pictures of me, my friends and I especially enjoy including a picture of my dog, Sasha, in each one.”
Favorite Musical Artist: Sade
Spirit Animal: A greyhound with a long snout

Anoushka Tandon
Deputy Secretary General
Now in her fifth year of MUN, Anoushka brings a fresh perspective, a strong passion for global affairs, and exceptional organizational skills to every conference she joins. Having chaired DISEC at THIMUN Singapore last year, she reflects on the experience as one that challenged her to think on her feet and collaborate effectively with others to bring out the best in every delegate and committee.
What she cherishes most about MUN is the community it builds and the lasting friendships it forms. As she puts it, knowing how her guidance and support can “give confidence and empower others is incredibly rewarding”.
This year, Anoushka looks forward to witnessing the power of unity in action – people from different corners of the world coming together to engage in meaningful debate and reach consensus on pressing global concerns.
Favorite Hobbies: Singing, playing the piano, and debating
Favorite Musical Artists: Lorde, Noah Kahan, Drake and Tate McRae
Spirit Animal: A panda – warm, friendly, and bringing comfort to those around her.
Jonathan Shih
Deputy Secretary General
With almost 5 years of MUN experience, this THIMUN Singapore will be Jonathan’s 17th conference and fourth on an international level. He credits the opportunity to debate, whether it be proving the opposition wrong or discussing a controversial topic, as the most rewarding aspect of being a delegate. In his chairing experience, he enjoys watching this occur and getting to know individuals from all over the world.
At THIMUN Singapore, Jonathan is looking forward to meeting and socializing with new people. He’s keen to visit every committee, acting as a spectator and watching debates commence. In his words, the interactions among delegates and the passionate speeches are “the highlights of each conference.”
